Many of those who believe in ghosts think that spirits remain behind because the person had unfinished business left on Earth. That may be the case at the Belvoir Winery and Inn where spirits continue to linger. Over 100 years ago, the Odd Fellows secret society created a home for their members’ widows and orphans. Those who died while living there were buried in the cemetery just yards from the buildings. While there may not be a sinister story to the Odd Fellows home, those who lived there certainly did not have an easy life.

Many visitors have claimed to see the spirits of children walking through the halls, one woman has even claimed she was struck by a ghost who was not happy to have her visit. These hauntings have been studied by paranormal experts from across the nation and Belvoir Winery was even featured on the Travel Channel. Whether you believe in ghosts or not, Belvoir Winery and Inn is worth a visit simply for the beautiful grounds and stunning architectural history.
