2020 has not been good for people and certainly not good for paranormal people wanting to attend there events. With state mandated lockdowns and the simple fact Covid-19 cases have hit all time highs, at least that is what is being stated. Paranormal events have had to cancel.
It was not just the fact that they had cancelled the event, but they had been planning it for months, but they had during that period collected money for events, tables and for event ticket sells. Keep in mind, right up until about a week or so before they had cancelled there events all things were a go according to there websites.
After one person had allegedly learned the fate of the bash, he posted the following.
The issues arriving from waiting to the last minuet, have led people to seek there refunds from plain fares, hotel stays and event ticket sells. Some folks have been openly complaining about the fact they did not pay attention and also waited or thought waiting out the Covid-19 crisis was a better idea during this time they had not asked for there refunds and now fear they have been scammed due to the virus in question and the fact paranormal event companies had still taken peoples money and simply set aside there events.
A webpage where the bash C.E.O had explained they were closing do to Covid numbers and that they were working with the Wyndham hotel Contrary to an initial phone call made to the Wyndham itself.
From the Barry’s!
As some communities in the United States begin to plan and hold events and gatherings, the CDC offers the following considerations for enhancing protection of individuals and communities and preventing spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). Event planners and officials can determine, in collaboration with state and local health officials, whether and how to implement these considerations, making adjustments to meet the unique needs and circumstances of the local community. Because COVID-19 virus circulation varies in communities, these considerations are meant to supplement—not replace—any state, local, territorial, or tribal health and safety laws, rules, and regulations with which gatherings must comply.
With paranormal events such as the Gettysburg Battlefield Bash, they stated on open social media, that because of (new) social distancing and larger spread of covid-19,they were cancelling there event until 2021.The problem with this is, there has been the same restriction in PA mandated by there governor for a few months already. There has not been new mandated restrictions and the events CEO, has continued to receive funds for the event up until about a week prior, than blaming the Covid Corona virus for shutting down there event. Even stating the governor had made new mandated stipulations.
After speaking to the Wyndham hotel on 07’17’2020, they stated the Gettysburg Bash ran by Pam and Steven Barry had cancelled. They said the entire block had been cancelled. They openly had said “Quote” If they had not cancelled, they would have had no problems dealing with the said event and flow of people holding it”. They than went further to say, if they had any choice in the matter, they would have had no problems taking peoples money for the rooms and events. Without saying to much, I learned that somebody was displeased over the actual cancellations from the events owners and it was not just the hotel either.
Pam Barry went on to state, they were working with the Wyndham and made it to sound, as if they and the Wyndham had cancelled the events, which was a lie obviously fabricated by the owners of the said Battlefield Bash. As the event had been cancelled, the old saying “I told you so” had played out in the back of my mind.
With no endorsements by Wounded warriors, this year at the bash, people began to wonder if something had gone wrong between the events owners and the not for profits such as Kids With Cancer. Some individuals who had wanted to attend the event stated they would not have gone, unless the event had supported non profits. Last year, there was scrutiny that had surrounded the entire events, as they allegedly had collected for non profits and the big one was, how much did they actually collect and also were they a non profit company, as they had allegedly claimed in prior Bash years.
In this prior entertainment link, they certainly seemed to represent they were doing the said event to help several agencies. The Gettysburg Ghost Exchange Presents The Gettysburg Battlefield Bash to benefit the Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors, Heroes For Hire a paid event, they work to get paid and Critically Ill Children.
With so many surrounding questions and than online social media attacks from the bash kids, so many unanswered questions still do remain. When one reaches out to ask some important questions, such as show documents, licenses, permits and even insurance information, they are met with hostility, threats and what does appear to be all out lies.
That is the Barry’s in review for 2020
