What Marks attorney is not going to tell folks, was that she was really being charged becau8se she had conned or allegedly conned folks out of money. None the less the acting defendant has been given the Green light to challenge the said state law, as being outdated and not in practice any longer.
Marks is charged in Oklahoma County District Court with obtaining money under false pretenses and fortune telling for a fee.Oklahoma City police Master Sgt. Gary Knight said the crime of fortune telling is an “exceedingly rare thing.”
On the other hand fortune telling is really coming back and thousands to maybe even tens of thousands are now the new said psychic, that cures illnesses, vanishes curses and removes bad luck. Of course all for what often seems to be your said fortune.

Also in In late 2014, Marks was arrested in Oklahoma City and extradited to Ohio. She was convicted of theft offenses in 2015 in Ohio, records show. Oklahoma City police reported she was ordered to pay $187,000 in restitution.
Marks then moved back to Oklahoma City. During a visit from a probation officer in July 2016, the fortune-telling business was discovered in her home’s converted garage, police reported.
Obviously, the law is no longer outdated according to Marks own conviction there.
