N.W. Haunt and Oregon Eugene elementary school teacher arrested on sex charges with teen.

The Eugene Police Violent Crimes Unit and Federal Bureau of Investigation received a report of a man who had found a girl in her mid-teens online and then paid her for sexual relations, EPD said.


William Cantu Hamann, 37, of Creswell, was arrested Thursday after he arrived at a local school to meet the teen.

The FBI and other local police agencies, are asking for the help of anyone who may have came into contact with Hamman.They stated, “there might be other victims out there”.

“Parents and guardians should tell their child that if Hamann did, or said, anything inappropriate to them to let them know. If a child discloses an incident that did happen to him or her, or that they observed happen to someone else, the parent should not ask the child detailed questions about the incident. Instead, please contact Detective Jed McGuire at (541) 682-6308 or the FBI in Eugene at (541) 343-5222.”

Hamann, a teacher at Spring Creek Elementary School in Eugene, was charged with Prostitution, Sexual Abuse in the Second Degree, Sexual Abuse in the Third Degree, and Sodomy in the Third Degree.

Hamman ran A N.W. haunt location, where people came to investigate the paranormal. Since the charges, the haunt has been shut down and of course Hamman has been dealing with the apparent charges, as charged.

In the horror and or paranormal community the dangers are even more or greater then one would expect, people assume when they see A group ghost hunting or even doing paranormal events, they are safe, but with no real laws to govern or protect the clients or consumer one must be very watchful and always on the ready.

A study from Cox Communications found that 69% of teens regularly receive personal messages online from strangers. Many parents may be unaware of this because only 21% of teens who receive messages from strangers tell a trusted adult.

In this case Hamann also operated a Haunted House business, The Frightuary, at Lane Events Center (located at 796 W.13th) in October. He  had open opportunities to be with children and the event took place at none other then A community center. This is why police, were looking and investigating to see if any other victims were out there. Keep in mind, he was also an elementary school teacher in Eugene Oregon.
