Local Skagit County psychic business owner arrested for theft by deception, charged of spiritually cleansing money from victim

Just as 2018 has been predicted scammer wise. A local Skagit woman has been arrested for fraud and felony deception. It seems greed and being greedy were the psychics downfall. The story unfolds as:

“A 69-year-old woman who owns a psychic reading business in Skagit County was arrested for first-degree theft by deception.

The victim according to police sought assistance from a private investigator from Florida who specializes in similar cases, according to police. That investigator met with Mount Vernon police and Seattle police investigators to form the sting, serve the warrant and arrest the now debunked psychic.

Police said last month, on September 20, a resident of Island County reported to the Mount Vernon Police Department that she turned over a large sum of money to the suspect in return for the psychic’s services of “spiritual cleansing and destroying evil energy.” Where the plot thickened was the then so called psychic demanded more money so the prior money she was given could be given back of course according to her free of any and all evil.

“Detectives were able to build a case and obtained a search warrant for the business which was served yesterday, October 30, 2017,” Booth said. “During the warrant service, the 69-year old female suspect was arrested and later booked into the Skagit County Community Justice Center. Detectives also recovered business and personal financial records, which will assist them as the investigation continues.”

Detectives are asking that anyone who may have information on this case or another case involving this business to contact the Mount Vernon Police Department at (360) 336-6271.

As updates and new information continue to come to light,we will be continually updating this article and file thanks.
