(Kim Johnston) was invited by Haunted History Expeditions owner, Pat Fitzhugh, to be the keynote speaker at his Sept 17th event at the Thomas House Hotel in Red Boiling Springs, TN.
The paranormal herald, reached out to M.R. Fitzhugh, but he has made no attempt at this time to communicate, with us either way.It could be do to the simple fact the police took his electronic devices,to check for evidence of his alleged spying?
The local police department there has asked for help,if their has ever been any other victims and has urged them to come forward.Any victims, were asked to contact agent Scarboro.@615-920-3322
Kim was expected to head a ghost hunt or investigation, but her research skills landed her something far more troubling.
As The Paranormal Herald interviewed her,we found out that a man named Pat Fitzhugh, of “Haunted Expeditions”who hired or asked Kim Johnson to attend the event, was then being questioned by local police on the charges, that he placed a spy camera in a bathroom.
Kim Johnson writes”I was to be the keynote speaker at his Sept 17th event at the Thomas House Hotel in Red Boiling Springs, TN and to lead a ghost hunt after my presentation.
“Pat always goes up the night before the guests arrive to prepare the guest rooms by putting out brochures and stocking the rooms with bottled water. The owners of the hotel give him the room keys and let him have the run of the place. He’s the keeper of the keys as he likes to call himself. He hands them out to guests and collects them before they leave.
“I found a strange looking digital alarm clock on a night stand in my room’s bathroom when I arrived. Over the course of the evening, I became quite suspicious of the device. Something didn’t feel right. I googled “clock spy cameras” and within minutes I found the exact model of clock in my bathroom being sold on a spy equipment website.
“I was so scared! I was shaking and felt nauseous. I couldn’t fathom who would do this to me at first but when I called police, they were immediately suspicious of the event organizer, Pat Fitzhugh because he has access to all the rooms and because the hotel owners are elderly and not tech savvy.
“They confiscated some of his items (memory cards, laptop, etc) with a search warrant and he is now under investigation by Tennessee Bureau of Investigations. Mr. Fitzhugh told police he was aware of the device in my bathroom but denied it was his. At a minimum, he failed to protect me from this humiliating experience but I personally feel he is involved. Time will tell though. We are all waiting for the results of the search warrant. It will be weeks before we know.
