The Daily Mirror reported that a would be ghost hunter Jonathan Ponce, was arrested and detained after allegedly chasing spooks with a Machete. This just might give an entirely new meaning to being protected.

Johnathan ponce was arrested and detained”

A ‘ghost hunter’ has been arrested by police for chasing spooks with a MACHETE.

Jonathan Ponce was high on drugs when he was collared by officers when his ‘spook search’ got out of control.

He claimed he had the weapon to ‘chase ghosts’.

Police are convinced the suspect was under the influence of a drug called Molly .

The 31-year-old man, along with his 26-year-old girlfriend, is accused of endangering two young children.

Ponce, who admitted that he was also high on the drug, said he’d been using it to chase ghosts, authorities said.

Investigators said they found a sheath for the machete in a room where a six-year-old and an eight-year-old were sleeping.

Deputies said Ponce and Silva displayed erratic and paranoid behavior.

Molly is said to be “pure” MDMA, the active ingredient in Ecstasy – but the drug has become a mixture of lab-created chemicals which can be toxic.

Television news station WESH reports the Deltona, Florida couple were spoken to by police, with Ponce arrested for child neglect and a charging affidavit completed against girlfriend Meghan Silva.

Volusia County deputies said they found Silva running down a street and she apparently told them she was high on Molly and was running from Ponce because he had a machete.

What is Ecstasy?

As summer outdoor music festival season heats up, so does the risk of overdoses of party drugs like “Molly” and Ecstasy.

Molly might still be a mystery to some, but millions are believed to have used one form of it, experts say. Here are five crucial questions about what may sound like a harmless drug — but a substance with possibly life-threatening side effects.

What is Molly, and what is it not?

Many people have heard of the drug ecstasy. It’s synthetic and, at least in the lab, it’s known as MDMA, short for 3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine. Ecstasy gained popularity at nightclubs in 1980s and ’90s. The pills gave users the euphoric high of amphetamines and the psychedelic effects of hallucinogens.

Molly, experts say, contains all MDMA in a crystalline powder contained in a capsule. So, it’s a concentrated form of ecstasy, but users don’t always know if it’s truly “pure.” Like all synthetic drugs, it could be diluted with other psychogenic substances.

  1. interesting article, I heard of this quite a bit the last ten years but never knew much about it. you have to wonder if the FDA started making it first lol… where did it come from that they can “market” it now?
