FORT COLLINS, Colo. (CBS4) reports– self-proclaimed psychics arrested


FORT COLLINS, Colo. (CBS4) reports about two alleged psychics, who were busted in Fort Collins Colorado.

Gina Marks and her husband Steven had been renting a business called Psychic Gina. Authorities said that instead of revealing fortunes, they were stealing them.Or at least the charges were to the fact, as was subsequently charged.

The police obtained and apparent search order and When Fort Collins Police searched the Marks’ home last month, they allegedly found stolen credit cards and merchandise, fake IDs, and even a fraudulent sheriff’s badge.

A private investigator was hired by an alleged victim,whom said the duo conned her into believing that a curse had been placed on her family. He said they persuaded her to participate in elaborate rituals at their previous home, and to give them cash and gift cards  and a net worth of  $36,000.

Personal life

In 2007, Marks pleaded no contest to grand theft charges related to an agreement to cleanse souls for a total of $65,000.[13] She was then put on probation for eighteen months and ordered to return the money back to her clients. In 2009, she was arrested again for a similar event.[14]

In 2010, she was then arrested again in Florida for a defrauding of over $300,000 and for violating probation.[15] A month later, while still in Broward County Jail, she was arraigned again on further fraud charges involving another person who came forward due to media exposure from her March arrest.[16]

On September 1, 2010, Marks pleaded guilty to grand theft and two counts of organized fraud. In addition she admitted to violating her probation. At her sentencing, Marks handed over a $400,000 check to partially repay her former clients.[17] Marks was paroled in June 2011 from Gadsden Correctional Facility. She served nine of her eighteen-month sentence and is currently[when?] on probation for eight years.[citation needed]

On April 2, 2014, in a different case, Marks was sentenced to 10 years of probation.[18][19][20]
