A ghost buster was busted last week for reportedly not paying a hefty hotel bill.
Danielle Gerise Paccione, 41, of Garden City, Kan., was booked into Palo Pinto County Jail Dec. 8 on charges of theft of service greater than or equal $2,500 but less than $30,000, according to jail records. She was released later the same day on $10,000 bond.
Paccione, who was a co-host of Paracon, a paranormal investigators convention held Dec. 4-6 in Mineral Wells at VFW Post 2399, reportedly refused to pay a hotel bill in the amount of $5,560 at a local hotel, according to Mineral Wells police reports.
Paccione was reportedly supposed to pay for rooms for convention speakers, said Karen Lancaster, front desk associate at Comfort Inn & Suites in Mineral Wells.
Currently, neither Paccione nor any of the other organizers have made an offer of restitution, Lancaster said.
She said some of the guest speakers allegedly were not compensated for their appearance.
An attempt to reach Paccione by phone went directly to voice mail.
