Event Description: It’s been nearly two years since Ryan Buell’s last public appearance, so what better way to return than to celebrate the PRS founder’s birthday? We are hosting a variety of different events, with different packages to accommodate which ones you’d like to attend. The event is being held at The Atherton Hotel in State College, PA – home to the PRS where it was founded by Buell in 2001. Join us as we not only celebrate Buell’s birthday in style, but take a ghost tour across the Penn State campus with Buell, enjoy some talk time with him, tour one of the first haunted locations PRS investigated and more!
MAIN EVENT – THE BLACK TIE BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION – SATURDAY, AUGUST 15TH

Ticket Price Includes: Admittance into Black Tie Reception, Dinner, Pictures, After-Dinner Bar, appetizers, full-course dinner, non-alcoholic beverages.
Join us at The Atherton Hotel (right in the heart of downtown State College) for Ryan Buell’s birthday celebration. It’ll start with a welcome reception, attended by Buell and other special guests (TBA). Hors d’oeuvres/appetizers will be served for the hour-long reception before the main doors open to the Black Tie Ballroom. Please note, we will only be providing 33 tickets for the dinner in honor of Buell’s 33rd birthday.
After the reception, guests will enter the Black Tie Ballroom for the main event. No matter what you wear, we request that you wear a black tie in honor of Buell’s signature “Director” look. How many people can say they got to go on a private ghost tour with “Paranormal State’s” Ryan Buell on the very campus PRS was founded? Join Buell for a haunted lantern tour as he walks you through some of Penn State’s most haunted locations. Bear in mind this is no time-killer. Part of what inspired Buell to create PRS at Penn State is the campus’ very active haunts. From the library stacks, haunted theatre the century-old “ghost walk” (where PRS played the 100 Candles Game) to Old Botany, considered by PRS to be one of the more active haunts it has ever come across, it will truly be a frightfully entertaining evening. In addition, Buell will also show guests where PRS got its start – including the very room PRS held its meetings. It’ll be a PRS history tour mixed in with the haunted Penn State campus tour. The tour will conclude with a stop at the world-famous Penn State Creamery, where guests will get to enjoy some unique ice cream flavors while participating in a group chat with Buell.

Ticket Price Includes: Admittance into the historic and haunted Reynolds Mansion for a personal tour from Ryan Buell and staff. Lunch/snack social Q&A with Ryan Buell at a local cafe.
The Reynolds Mansion in historic Bellefonte is one of the most beautiful and haunted hotels in central Pennsylvania. PRS regularly investigated The Reynolds Mansion ranging from 2004-2011. The location was also regularly used as a training ground for new PRS investigators. Activity regularly happens in the beautiful Victorian bed & breakfast. Take a personalized tour with the staff, as well as with Buell, who will add to the tour by sharing stories and evidence captured during PRS’ many investigations of the establishment. Afterwards, guests will sit down with Buell at a nearby cafe for a chat/Q&A.
12:00pm – 2:00pm: Haunted tour of Bellefonte and Reynolds Mansion.
2:00pm – 3:00pm: Cafe discussion and Q&A with Ryan at a local cafe.

Is there an age limit?
All participants must be at least 18 years of age OR if under 18 years of age, must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian AND agree to the following terms:
A.Parent or legal guardian must notify PRS that he or she intends to accompany a minor on the field trip within 24 hours of the ticket purchase; AND
B.Parent or legal guardian must provide a valid, government-issued identification (i.e., driver’s license, passport, etc.) at the time of the field trip, which PRS, at its sole discretion, may copy; AND
C.Parent or legal guardian must sign an acknowledgment providing that he or she is granting permission for the minor to participate in the field trip activities; AND
D.Parent or legal guardian must sign the Anticipatory Waiver of and Release from Liability document on the minor’s behalf.
I’m driving. Where can I park?
There is street and surface parking on both College Ave and Beaver Ave in downtown State College. There are also a number of garages on the side streets that offer parking at a low rate given the visitation to the University. If booking a hotel in the State College area, you may be able to walk to the event while making use of hotel parking. Please keep in mind, parking in State College in other stores parking lot without being a customer or for an overly extended amount of time may result in a fine or your vehicle being towed.
Is there any public transportation to this event?
The CATA Bus System is the main public transit available in State College. I’m coming in from out of town, where is the closest airport?
State College has it’s own airport just outside of town. You can rent a car at any of these airports for transport purposes if a form of public transportation or a ride is not available to you.
