Should statue pay hommage to Satan?

Should a statue be able to pay homage to Satan? The original article was posted in WCem news. http://www.toledonewsnow.com/story/29492843/statue-paying-homage-to-satan-to-be-unveiled-in-detroit?clienttype=generic

They tried this in Oklahoma as well. http://kfor.com/2014/12/12/proposed-satanic-statue-being-created-ten-commandments-to-be-rebuilt/

OKLAHOMA CITY – The battle over ground at the Oklahoma State Capitol is brewing between two different religious leaders.

The article was posted on July 9th, 2015. According to the said article, it stated that the  Satanic Temple Detroit Chapter is getting ready to unveil a controversial sculpture in Detroit. The said statue is 9 feet tall and weighs in at a ton. further comments were from the satanic chapter, that did sate they thought the statue would compliment the 10 commandments, that apparently hangs inside the State Capitol building.

The Temple also said the event will “serve as a call-to-arms” to kick off a fight “in the name of individual rights to exercise against self-serving theocrats.” I have a problem with this statement. The United States has always been about God and country not the devil and country?

Where does separation of church and state come in then?

This is not a blog to discredit or complain about someone elses view points, however we wanted to hear your concerns , if this is a statue the overall general public wants placed in or near the state capital building itself

Further statements were made by the Satanic chapter to dress to impress the devil?

Who we are

Who the Satanic chapter is. http://thesatanictempledetroit.com/

The Satanic Temple is a non-theistic religious organization dedicated to Satanic practice and the promotion of Satanic rights. We understand the Satanic figure as a symbol of man’s inherent nature, representative of the eternal rebel, enlightened inquiry and personal freedom rather than a supernatural deity or being. It is our mission to facilitate communication and mobilization of politically aware Satanists, secularists, and advocates for individual liberty. We actively provide outreach and participate in public affairs where the issues might benefit from rational, Satanic insights.

  1. I guess everyone is entitled to human rights, their own beliefs and views on things although this is something I would never endorse or get involved with. People have wondered why demonic activity has stepped up in the past few years, here’s a good example as well as some of these TV series about it.
I see where they too are asking for donations, lol, give it a break people! A lot of mentally ill people will follow this crap, you can bet on it.
I hold my faith in God, I don’t have this experience others have with this “totally personal relationship with God”, I don’t quite understand that but I’ve felt deep peace in the painful and traumatic experiences in my life that had to come from God.
